Pittsburgh Prep’s complete Summer 2015 schedule is now live. We are thrilled to have another season of intensive courses after our success in 2014.

Last summer, our students achieved their goal scores on their SAT exams with an astounding average increase of 273 points*. What’s more, we measure our success in our program not only by these data sets, but also by the fact that all of our students improve their sense of confidence and knowledge applicable to all standardized test taking. As the only prep center in Pittsburgh who transparently shares actual score improvements, we are proud of what our students have accomplished.

Our summer intensive courses cover fundamental concepts, critical reasoning, and test-taking strategies in a small class setting, including full-length simulated SAT practice exams, and mandatory test review sessions with our highly qualified instructors, who have all scored in the 99th percentile on an actual SAT examination.

While Pittsburgh Prep transitions to a dynamic new website, we have updated our schedule with one new class and more on the way! A class has opened in preparation for the May 2 administration of the SAT, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our headquarters in the East End. We are also finalizing a possible North Hills class for the May SAT, as well as finishing our summer schedule!

It’s happened again! Because of overwhelming demand, we’ve had to add another SAT course to our 2014-2015 schedule. Thankfully there are still a few seats available. The class details are available here.

For younger students who have concerns about their standardized exams, we offer a comprehensive program designed specifically for the PSAT exam. Built to complement our proven SAT curriculum, the PSAT program introduces students to the critical reasoning skills and fundamental concepts needed for comfort and success on the PSAT/NMSQT test.  We cover:

• Fundamental Math review
• Critical Reading methods
• Essential Writing in grammar and vocabulary
• Powerful essay writing

Also included in the course are three practice exams with thorough analytics for each exam and three test review sessions.  Our PSAT classes act as academic primers for the eventual SAT and other standardized exams your student will tackle in their secondary schooling.  If you are interested, our PSAT course is open for enrollment on the Available Classes page.

A few parents have been calling in about Spring classes, and we would be happy to help! There are two new classes on the Available Classes calendar for the May and June 2014 SAT exams. Each class is 27-30 hours of instruction in the fundamentals of the material most tested by the College Board on the SAT. Unlike other test prep centers, we do not focus on simple test tips; our curriculum is designed to help students powerfully comprehend concepts that are fundamental to a well-rounded college education.
